“What’s up, Maestro?  I know I’m not your student anymore, but I wanted to touch base.  May was my best month ever!  Flipped 3 houses for $22,000 profit!  And have 3 pending right now for a total of $9,250.  Things have been going great lately.  I’m over $42,000 half way through the year (I was making $36,000 a year at my J.O.B that I left in January).  I’ve also been messing around with some affiliate marketing and have made a little off that.  I joined Pittsburgh’s biggest REI network club in March and at my first meeting, most of the people I met said, “Oh yeah, I’ve seen your ads out there.  Nice to finally meet you.”  Or, “Oh yeah, I’m on your buyer’s list.”

I also have some newbie wholesalers asking me to show them the way.  I’m planning on putting a local coaching program together.

Best of all, with this new freedom, I’ve been hitting the gym almost every morning and have dropped 15 lbs!  My wife and I are expecting our second daughter Aug 10th and now she’s able to take an additional month off besides her normal maternity leave.  No worries!

Hey, Andy, The Maestro has a confession. I’m a junkie.

That’s right.  You heard it here, first. The Maestro is a junkie.

And I just can’t help it…

Uh… I’m a natural high junkie, that is.

Look, I’m big into health and nutrition.  It just happens to be a passion of mine.  I work out and diet, and I enjoy every last minute of it.  And I also meditate and read up on the latest and greatest natural treatments and cures.

The Maestro digs it.

Get this.  My father had a heart attack at fifty.  And, I had high cholesterol at age thirty-four.  Continuing down the path I was on simply wasn’t an option for me.  So I made a change.

You know what, though?  As my weight and cholesterol dropped, my energy increased.  And, as my energy increased, so did my mood.  I am literally living on a natural high these days.  And that has elevated my output and my outlook.

But Maestro, I don’t have the money to join a gym.  I like eating fast food for lunch each day.  I’m doing fine.

Uh, no you’re not.  And there is no excuse for not taking care of yourself, either.  It all comes down to choice.  And choosing a sweet potato over a baked potato is well within your power.  But, just like flipping houses, you have to want it.  Good health isn’t just going to appear… and neither is a big check.

It’s funny how just feeling good can boost so many other parts of your life.  It’s true, though.  I’m living proof of it.  So, if you’ve put off getting your body in shape, get on it.  Indirectly, it’ll make you a lot of money…

I get students contacting me all the time, all like “Maestro, some lady just called me up and cussed me out, then hung up on me.  All I did is make her a low offer to buy her house.  Man, I really feel bad.  She ruined my day…”

Look, you can’t allow stuff like that to bother, or deter, you.  It happens.  It happened to me.  And, it happens to every other wholesaler out there too.  Just part of what we do.  For some reason, people get offended by our offers sometimes.  It baffles me, but they do.  It’s not like we have a gun to their head.  We make an offer, and they accept or reject.  It’s as simple as that.  For some reason, though, people sometimes feel compelled to call us up and cuss us out.

Me, I don’t let it bother me one bit.  I just hang up… and move on.  I don’t have time to waste on someone like that.  Anyone who gets offended by a low offer to buy their house, is just flat out a weak-minded fool.  And The Maestro has no time for that.  I don’t think I can be offended.  It’s possible, I guess.  But it would be damn hard.  That’s just how I roll.  I don’t believe in fairness, either.  I only believe in life.  Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s bad.  Regardless, I just roll with it.
